The Van Voorden foundry manufactures hand shaped castings, single pieces or small series. Our delivery program contains ferrous as well as non-ferrous alloys. Our experts have extensive material knowledge. In our own laboratory the emphasis lies especially on the adjustment between product application and mechanical properties. We think with you to shape your products. If so required, we can machine the products in our own machine shop.

Specialisation
The manufacturing of high grade products in wear resistant alloys is our speciality. The alloys must above all resist the abrasive wear. This form of wear is well known at the dredging and mining industry, in their pump systems. Depending on the circumstances, i.a. we use:
• white iron : Nihard and Mohard®
• cast steel : 47VA

The dredging industry world wide are using our products. Especially the wear resistance of Mohard® that was developed in our own laboratory, is unique. The composition of this material can vary, depending on the wall thickness and required applications.
Also double walled pipeline systems, to be used on board of dredging ships, is part of our speciality. The exterior consists of a welded construction of normal steel, the inner pipe is made out of exchangeable Mohard® casting parts.

Product quality
Shaping and casting, as well as heat treatment and machining is based in Zaltbommel, under strict supervision of our quality department. The company is fully ISO 9001:2000 certified. At the same time all our products can be delivered according to all accepted qualification bureaux like Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas and Germanische Lloyd.
